DEFINITION
SCHEDULE AND PROFESSIONALS
Occupational Medicine refers to the prevention and treatment of illnesses related to the workplace with an aim to preserve the health and wellfare of the worker.
The specialist evaluates the worker’s capacity of a determined occupation and does periodic reviews of his health with emphasis on any occupational risks the worker might be exposed to.
